Dr. Patterson is a laboratory physician, consultant and business executive with broad based experience in clinical medicine, service pathology and managerial experience in healthcare organizations and industrial companies.

Prior to his association with The Lipton Group, he spent more than 25 years in medical practice in Canada, the U.S. and internationally. While a senior physician-executive with Beckman Instruments, Inc., from 1988 to 1993, Dr. Patterson was the project leader on the CX-7 chemistry analyzer, which was introduced to the market in 1991. The redesigned laboratories operate state-of-the-art technology and management systems that provide increased service levels with substantially reduced operating budgets and no sacrifice in quality of patient care.

Dr. Patterson is an accomplished facilitator of organizational change. He brings a unique blend of medical/managerial perspectives and implementation-focused consulting methodology to the approach used at The Lipton Group.

Dr. Patterson received his MD from the University of Alberta in 1967 and holds board certification in Pathology in both Canada and the U.S. He received his MBA from the University of Calgary in 1987 and was one of the first physicians to achieve board certification in medical quality assurance in 1991. He is a member of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry, the American Pathology Foundation and the Clinical Laboratory Management Association.
